The problem

Plug, patch or new tire?

A nail doesn't usually mean a new tire. Where it went in decides what we can do.

A nail or screw in the tread: usually a plug or a patch.
A slow leak, or the low-pressure light that keeps coming back.
Damage on the sidewall, or a tire that was driven flat. That one can't be fixed safely.

How we fix it

What happens at the shop

We find the leak, check the damage and tell you your options before we start.

We pull the nail and check where it went in.
A plug ($15) for a quick fix in the tread, or a patch ($40) from the inside.
We check the pressure all round and put the wheel back on.
Afterwards

Back on the road, no upsell

If a patch will do, that's what you get. One driver put it like this:

Well I found my new tire guys! I had a slow leak and read the Tire Place reviews & decided to give them a try. Don't be deceived by their location and appearance; they're a little out of the way place 1 block off Hillsboro, not some big chain operation. They plugged my tire for $15, didn't try to sell me anything and couldn't have been nicer. I was out the door in 20 minutes. I'll definitely use them again.

What tire repair customers say

4.6
Tire Place USA was awesome! I needed a tire plugged and they had me in and out in under 20 minutes for under $20. No scams, no pressure, and nobody trying to sell me something I didn’t need. Just honest, fast, reliable service at a fair price. It’s hard to find a tire shop that operates like this anymore. Tire Place USA has definitely earned my business. Highly recommend!

Arrived with a screw in the front tire and drove away 15 minutes later with a professionally patched tire. Quick service, friendly staff and reasonable rates.. Conveniently located a block north of Hillsboro Blvd just east of I-95.

LOVE this place! ❤️ Honest, professional, courteous, clean. Patched my nailed tire for $40 when 2 other companies (both Tire Choice) told me I had a "rim of desth" and would need to buy 2 new tires.

Questions

Tire repair questions

What people ask before they pull in.

How much does it cost to fix a flat tire?

A plug is $15 and a patch is $40. If the damage is on the sidewall or the tire was driven flat, it can't be fixed safely, and we'll tell you.

How long does a tire repair take?

Often about 20 minutes, depending on how busy the shop is. Walk in, first come, first served.

What's the difference between a plug and a patch?

A plug goes in from the outside and is the quick fix for a nail in the tread. A patch is sealed from the inside of the tire. We tell you which one your tire needs.

Can you fix a nail in the sidewall?

No. Sidewall damage can't be repaired safely, so that tire needs replacing. We can usually get a new one next day.

Do I need an appointment?

No. We're walk-in only, first come, first served, Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm and Saturday 8am to 4pm. Closed Sunday.

Do you offer discounts?

Yes, one per visit with ID: 10% off your first visit, 10% off for Uber and Lyft drivers, or 15% off for military and first responders.
